I got this book at a book signing. It was fascinating to read about many of the disasters Robert Winter inspected as a FEMA contractor. He talked about actual damages caused by tornadoes and hurricanes and floods and about the different people he met and their cultures. Mr. Winter gave information about his background, his experiences, his compassion for the victims of disasters. He also described challenges for the FEMA workers getting to the sites, finding housing, and handling their assignments. The chapters really held my interest.
